Kennekuk County Park, Danville IL
You know that feeling when you meet a couple and just KNOW that they’re about to be your friends?! Yeah, I got that feeling last Saturday meeting Cynthia & Zack for their engagement session at the beautiful Kennekuk Park! We had to reschedule their session twice, but I’m secretly glad we did because we got some amazing photos of the trees JUST as they started turning for the fall! We had a lot of fun, and I am beyond excited to share these gems with you!
Cynthia & Zack met their freshman year of college, and have been inseparable ever since! You can definitely tell from their photos, but their love for each other just shines. During their session they kept making each other laugh, which was so fun for me to capture! I think I also heard a “You have nice eyes….” muttered by Cynthia as I posed them for a close-up shot. HOW ADORABLE ARE THEY?!
You may see in some of their photos a precious chocolate lab pup named Whiskey! I am SUCH a dog person, so to have a sweet dog join us for part of the session was such a treat for me! If you know me, you know that I have two pups of my own so it would be hard to meet other dog lovers and not become friends right off the bat! Whiskey is an 8 month old lab, and he was FULL of energy! You can see from these photos that he sat and stayed so well for a few shots! (However what you don’t see is his detour for a short jump in the pond nearby….)
Regardless, we had the most beautiful, overcast fall day to walk around a gorgeous park in Illinois and capture Cynthia & Zack’s love story! This is definitely one for the books! Enjoy more photos of this sweet engagement session!
Cynthia & Zack- It was an absolute JOY to meet you both on Saturday along with sweet Whiskey, and I cannot wait to continue to work with you as you plan your wedding! I'm so honored that you chose me to be a part of it! I think 2021 will be your best year yet.....
